چکیده
We develop Johnson noise thermometry applicable to mesoscopic devices with variable source impedance high bandwidth for fast data acquisition. By implementing differential measurement and two-stage matching, we demonstrate in the frequency range 120-250 MHz a wide sample resistance 30 {\Omega}-100 k{\Omega} tuned by gate voltages temperature. employ high-frequency, single-ended low amplifiers maintained at constant cryogenic temperature order maintain desired achieve thermometer calibration precision up 650 mK on 10 K background s of averaging. Using this technique, measure thermal conductivity bilayer graphene spanning metallic semiconducting regimes range, compare it electrical conductivity.

متن کاملNoise and Interference in Thermometry Resistance Bridges
− This paper analyses the influence of interference from non-ideal laboratory environment on the resistance-bridge operation. Interference can be either the result of thermal emf, electromagnetically induced voltage or harmonic distortion of the power supply voltage. Interference is manifested as the increased measurement dispersion or even as non-negligible change in the measured resistance. T...
متن کاملProper Noise and Thermometry
Statistical thermodynamic phenomenon of fluctuations (noise) appearance in the controlled substance is under consideration in the proposed work. Their types as well as the relationship among them revealing in the totality of influences on the characteristics of a noise thermometer as a certified metrological mean of measuring the parameters of electric noise have been researched. The background...
متن کاملBandwidth Tuning in Transistor Embedded Metamaterials Using Variable Resistance
Metamaterials have been previously loaded with diodes and other types of passive circuit elements. Transistors offer an alternative to these established loading elements to expand the possible capabilities of metamaterials. With embedded transistors, additional degrees of freedom are achieved and lay out the architecture for more complex electromagnetic metamaterial design. A mathematical analy...
متن کاملA microwave resistive squid for noise thermometry
2014 A SQUID magnetometer has been shown to work at 10 GHz with a significant enhancement of signal-to-noise over 30 MHz devices. This article describes how such enhancement could lead to faster determinations of absolute temperature using a resistive SQUID, i. e., a noise thermometer. A prototype 10 GHz resistive SQUID is described and its performance evaluated. The feasibility of using a 10 G...
